Rally Norway 2007 – Leg 2

Driver comments at service D

24 Anders Grondal/Trond Inge Ostbye (Subaru Impreza)
We broke our second gearbox today and we don't know if we will join the rally again or not.

21 Toni Gardemeister/Jakke Honkanen (Mitsubishi Lancer WR05)
"I chose long studs and I am just very angry with himself."

7 Petter Solberg/Phil Mills (Subaru Impreza WRC 2006)
We are not going to attack. We are in a safe sandwich and there's no point doing anything silly. We just need to get to the finish

1 Sébastien Loeb/Daniel Elena (Citroen C4)
I didn't have a good rhythm.

3 Marcus Grönholm/Timo Rautiainen (Ford Focus RS WRC 06)
The conditions are still difficult today

4 Mikko Hirvonen/Jarmo Lethinen (Ford Focus RS WRC 06)
Before the rally we planned to attack on stage 1 and 9 so as long as we don't make any major changes I think we should be OK

16 Matthew Wilson/Michael Orr (Ford Focus RS WRC 06)
He lost a wheel on stage 10 and has retired from the rally.

22 Xavier Pons/Xavier Amigo (Mitsubishi Lancer WR05)
I feel happier today. We have no problems and we're going better.

20 Jan Kopecky/Filip Schovanek (Skoda Fabia WRC)
No problems at all.

31 Patrik Sandell/Emil Axelsson (Renault Clio R3)
The new car is really good.

36 Jan Molder/Katrin Becker (Suzuki Swift)
The transmision was repaired last night and is fine now. The roads today were narrow and the set up was bad. I didn't try that much because the handling was too bad.

32 Urmo Aava/Kuldar Sikk (Suzuki Swift S1600)
That’s really stupid.  I took a lot of risks and destroyed two tyres.  It’s not fair.  There should have been better communication.

48 Kalle Pinomaki/Tuomo Nikkola
On stage 9 he was stuck on the road. The next car was Aaron Burkart and spectators waved him to slow him down. He tried to stop on the road but went into a snowbank. He got going again but Cortinovis caught him up and got blocked.
